Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to support quality assurance of our smart thermostat mobile applications on Android and iOS. The ideal candidate has hands-on Maestro automation experience and an interest in IoT and smart home technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual and automated tests for thermostat Android & iOS apps
- Perform API testing for thermostat commands, status, and schedules
- Validate device pairing, provisioning, and app workflows
- Test HVAC modes, temperature changes, schedules, and user scenarios
- Log and track defects with clear steps and evidence
- Support regression and release testing
- Collaborate with senior QA, mobile, and backend teams during sprints
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Basic experience testing Android & iOS mobile applications
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman preferred)
- Understanding of QA fundamentals and defect lifecycle
- Ability to understand product requirements and convert them into test cases
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have
- Exposure to IoT, smart devices, or home automation
- Familiarity with Appium or other mobile automation tools
- Basic understanding of backend/cloud systems
