Cielo Smart Thermostat offers a wide range of next-gen features to make your life easier, better, and greener. From unique functions to efficient use, this energy-saving thermostat has it all!
1. Save With Smart Cooling & Heating Schedules
One of the top energy-saving techniques is programming your thermostat settings according to your requirements. This means creating air conditioning schedules based on when you will be home, away, or asleep.
With the Cielo Smart Thermostat, you can easily schedule your home temperature according to what works best for you and let it handle the rest. Once a schedule is set, it will automatically make adjustments throughout the day, helping your HVAC system run efficiently, providing a perfect blend of comfort and savings.
This smart device offers 4 default presets, including Home, Away, Pets, and Sleep, that you can use to set a schedule. With Home and Away presets, you can prioritize comfort when you are home and focus on energy savings when you are away. For instance, when going out, you can turn your thermostat 7-10 degrees back from your usual settings using a thermostat setback approach. According to the Department of Energy, you will save as much as 10% on your bills if you set back your thermostat for 8 hours every day. You can also create custom presets and enjoy a tailored automated home climate.

If your set schedule changes at any time, for instance, you have a late meeting at work and can’t make it home on time, you can make instant changes using the Cielo Home app. You can also use the Hold feature that the Cielo Smart Thermostat offers to override your schedule and maintain a specific temperature for as long as you want. For example, if your meeting is till 10 pm, you can set your thermostat to hold your set temperature till then. This ensures that your HVAC isn’t heating/cooling an empty house, minimizing your energy consumption.
Equip your HVAC system with smart features and achieve the perfect balance between comfort & savings.
Shop Now2. Automatically Turn Your HVAC On/Off With Location-Based Triggers
With the Cielo Smart Thermostat geofencing feature, you’ll never have to worry about your energy costs spinning out of control again.
Cielo Smart Thermostat uses location-based triggers and motion sensors to sense your presence and auto-adjusts your settings accordingly. It can quickly adapt when you have gone out and automatically reduce AC usage to help save money – while keeping your living space comfortable when you return.
The geofencing feature uses the settings from your Home and Away presets. When you are home, the Cielo Smart Thermostat applies the settings you have specified in the Home preset, and vice versa.
3. Leave Your Temperature Worries Home With Vacation Mode
Turning your HVAC completely off when going on a vacation may seem like the obvious solution to save on energy costs. However, it can lead to various issues in your home. For instance, if it gets too cold, water pipes in your home can freeze and burst, damaging your walls, floors, and home appliances. Similarly, in summer, high humidity can spur mold growth and damage wooden furniture.
Another reason to keep your HVAC running is that you may have pets at home who require a comfortable climate. Or, you simply want to return to a comfortable home after your vacation.
The best option is to rely on your smart thermostat for energy savings while keeping your home at just the perfect vacation temperature. In vacation mode, you can set minimum and maximum temperature thresholds along with the duration of your vacation.
When setting the vacation mode in the Cielo Home app, consider adjusting your thermostat by 5-10 degrees from your usual settings for energy savings. You can also program your thermostat to return to normal household settings before you return so that everything will be comfortable on your arrival.

4. Amplify Your Savings With Smart Home Integration
With the Cielo Smart Thermostat, controlling your HVAC system has never been easier. You can effortlessly link it to voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant for even greater convenience. Other integration options include Siri shortcuts, Samsung SmartThings, and IFTTT. Plus, you can also link it to other smart home devices, such as smart lights and smart fans to enjoy a completely automated ecosystem.
Imagine waking up and saying, “Hey, Alexa, good morning,” and your home thermostat is set to 70, your lights start turning on, you get weather details, what’s on your calendar for the day, and even your coffee starts brewing automatically –allowing you to get ready hassle-free.
Smart home integration provides more control over your home appliances, which in turn helps reduce energy consumption. For instance, if you have smart window sensors and your Cielo Smart Thermostat linked to Alexa, you can have your HVAC system turn off when sensors detect that windows are open. This ensures the conditioned air doesn’t leak outside – saving money and energy.
5. Take Decisions Based on Outdoor Weather Conditions
Cielo Smart Thermostat has a weather tab where you can check the current weather status based on your set location.
In winter, your Cielo Smart Thermostat can take into account the outside temperature to decide whether auxiliary heat is required or not. This helps to save on bills as you don’t end up paying to heat your home when there’s no need.
Another way you can have your settings adjusted based on outside weather is by using IFTTT triggers. For instance, if the outside temperature rises above your set threshold, you can have your thermostat switch to cool mode.
6. Stay On Top of Your Energy Spend With Usage History
To save on air conditioning costs, knowing how much your unit runs daily, weekly, or monthly is important. Tracking your HVAC runtime can make it easy to lower your electricity bills.
With the Cielo Smart Thermostat, you will always be aware of your energy spending, which can help reduce your carbon footprint as well as minimize costs. In the Cielo Home app, you can track when your HVAC is running, at which mode, and fan settings. The real-time data provided by Cielo can help you analyze how much money you spend on heating/cooling bills and set achievable goals for reducing energy consumption each month. Have just placed my order!
I have really been looking forward to this!!
My current Mr. Cool DIY mini-split heat pump with its included remote has a minimum heat setpoint of 62°F. Will your new smart T-stat enable lower heat setpoints? My insulated barn, where it’s located, doesn’t need to be kept that warm.
Just in case if you are talking about the Cielo Smart Thermostat – this is compatible with ducted HVAC systems and not mini-splits. Our range of smart AC controllers or mini-split thermostats mimic the temperature of your air conditioner and cannot force a lower heat setpoint then what your remote allows. However, if your MR COOL supports FP (freeze protection) feature that directly shifts the temperature to 50 degree heat mode then you can control the feature with Cielo Breez smart AC controllers.
